Sadly, due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions, we had to cancel the Young Eventers Programme trip to CHI Geneva with A Young Riders Academy once again. The risk of travelling and the restrictions imposed were too great for us to safely take the riders to Switzerland. Instead we rerouted to the London International Horse Show, at it’s new home in ExCel, London.
Thanks to the show’s organisers Emma, Harry and Kristina joined Pippa Funnell in the Live Zone, hosted by Rupert Bell. Here they got to tell the crowd about life as an event rider, the journey they go on from Juniors to Seniors and what its like to train with the legendary Pippa Funnell.
In addition to the Live Zone appearance, Pippa Funnell organised a course walk in the main arena with international showjumping legend Geir ‘Jimmy’ Gullikson. An experience that left our young riders full of enthusiasm and with many helpful insights that they can take back to their own showjumping preparations and ring craft.
