All systems go..!
It was great to see that British Eventing got a green light to resume competitions two weeks ago. As a result we have all been able to finally start training away from home and get back on track!
All of the horses have had a couple of jumping outings and it was great to have them out and feeling so well. Last week I also took three horses down to Pippa’s for a couple of days training, all thanks to the Windrush Programme. It was my first time having some coaching from someone since lockdown and so it was great to blow away the cobwebs ahead of the season restarting. All three horses had a session on the flat and then jumped round a course of show jumps the day after. It has definitely sharpened me up and I’ve come away with lots of things to work on at home.
Next task on the list.. cross country schooling..!! I can’t wait to be back out again and hopefully we will have a successful and safe rest of the season.
