It isn’t often that we can say that we are as excited about an event as we are about Aachen in Germany this week.
With not one, but two Windrush riders representing their nations in the SAP Cup we will be following all of the action very closely.
Windrush Equestrian Foundation Ambassador and FEI World Number One, Tim Price notched up yet another CCI3* S win with our very own Wesko (Dash) in the Event Rider Masters class at Arville in Belgium a couple of weeks ago and now the pair head to Aachen as part of the very strong New Zealand contingent to contest the SAP Cup.
This is a bit of a dream come true for us all (including Tim) as, for a time, we weren’t sure we would ever see the pair back out Eventing together, let alone on the world stage! With many tipping Tim and Dash for the top spot we’ll be firmly glued to any coverage we can find.
However, Tim isn’t the only Windrush Rider out at Aachen, after their recent top 10 placings at both Bramham CCI4*S U25s and the Event Rider Masters class at Chatsworth, current Windrush Equestrian Foundation Scholar, Susie Berry partners Stonedge to represent Ireland. We are thrilled to be involved with Susie’s career and are thoroughly enjoying seeing her put everything she is learning both in the classroom and from our 2019 mentor, Pippa Funnell, into practice with her horses. Everyone here at the Foundation is very much looking forward to following Susie and Stonedge this weekend over in Germany.
Susie and Stonedge performed a sweet test this morning in the huge Aachen main arena to score a 35.3 and Tim and Wesko head down the centre line at 14.03 Local time.
